MAKING – OF „ Retail eMobility story „

To create a new category of products in retail business is not an easy work to do and this is exactly what we at CEV technologies are doing. Funny how business development of new industry crosses you with industry , you grew up in. In my case that would be retail industry from beginning of my career. From that point of view i know very well that retailers will not take in assortment products which have too slow turnover coefficient in sales, they are looking for products they can sale quickly and make margin/profit on them asap. One specifics for us in this case are EV home chargers, mostly they are offered through different web shops but without good customer experience which could be offered through retail sales. If you are an new BEV ( bmw, tesla, kia ) buyer, you will for sure like to see, touch and „smell“ EV charger for your home, before you will buy it ( you don’t buy EV charger to use for one day or week ) you are happy to replace not that clean and smell bad gas stations with fancy charger at home. The fact that more than 65% of EV charging sessions are done at home on mature EV markets, makes us working on the project to bring eMobility into retail industry. In every category of products in retail you have a brand leader, challenger products, private label,… and we do have in EV home chargers all brand leaders contracted heidelberg, keba, schneider and wallbox, so we will offer them from one hand through retail, but with great customer experience, we install them, maintain them, give warranty,… And as a retailer to be able to offer all brand leaders in one product category, that is what retail category management is all about.  

As we are live since 01th of July 2024 and offering inside of SEPA region a unique solution for CPO energy mangement with payment solution integrated into our SAP backend software for public charging according AFIR regulations ,this project will be as well a unique solution so far in sales of EVSE through retail industry  and  also with some ongoing installations of charge at work and charge at destination (we will report soon) we are on good way to become a leading EV charging and energy management provider.
